We go through elements that make a good cocktail - the Strong (a spirit), a Modifier (something to enhance the flavour, normally a fruity or spicy liquer), a Lengthener (fruit juices or waters), a Tart (squeezes of lime or lemon citrus flavours) and a Sweet (mainly gum syrup, which is sugar water).
He's a lengthener, rather than a quickener, but I'm fairly hopeful Sandown will suit him.
If you're bored at work tomorrow why not send the young trainee to fetch any of the following: A blunt point, rope lengthener, sparks for a campfire, safely carried in a wet paper bag, of course.
