A single high ratio setting ensures 100 per cent of torque is delivered to the front wheels during normal Tarmac driving but, should a front wheel lose grip, power is automatically transferred to the rear wheels.
Porsche have fitted a limited-slip differential to S models which reduces wheel spin when the tyres lose grip, making it more agile and safer on wet roads.
If one wheel starts to lose grip it regulates the drive to get the car through the curve with greater safety.
