Question

Country: United States of America State: Indiana I am receiving several e-mails telling me that my e-mail address has been put in a lottery and drawn out as a winner Ex. Apple crest & Grant Lotteries, UK National Lottery- Sweepstakes International program and there has been about three others, is there any way to check and see if any of these are legitimate? I was caught in a El Gordo Lottery Scam last year and lost several thousand dollars so I am much more cautious now, I would hate to think that I might have been lucky enough to win a sweepstakes and not intelligent enough to recognize it.

Answer

See http://www.worldlawdirect.com/article/1795/International_lottery_scam_%28fraud%29.html It is a scam--enter "international lottery scam" into Google and read many articles about it...they want you to pay fees and no real lottery does that......you may notify the FBI as well.
