Article 180 of the civil code had previously been invoked to nullify a marriage in only a handful of cases - on the grounds of the prostitution of the wife, the impotence of the husband or his illness from HIV/Aids.
Along with the legal arguments and circumstances to nullify a marriage, there are also legal remedies that will be brought out to family courts to decide on the primary custody of the children.
