Question

Country: United States of America State: North Carolina My friend was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon. It has been seven years since his last conviction. He was late to court and court was dismissed by the time we got there. How can he go about getting a lawyer to stake the warrant for arrest for failure to appear.

Answer

You may as a first step call the clerk of the court that was involved to see if it is possible to have it sealed, expunged, cleared etc. The clerk will normally know, and will often help direct you if it is indeed possible.
