In studies conducted at Stanford University 20 years ago, Fair found that men with BPH or inflammatory prostatitis (the most common type) didn't have any less zinc in their prostatic fluid than men without prostate trouble.
Even though the trace element is an important component of prostatic fluid, which helps fight infections, clinical tests have shown that "you can consume all the zinc you want and it's not going to change the amount of zinc in your prostatic fluid.
