Question

Country: United States of America
State: All States/Provinces

How do I find out if I can reproduce and sell picture record covers from the 60s and 70s? Are they in the public domain or are their current copyright custodians that I can contact for written permission to use them, and, if/or how much their licensing fee is? I do not want to violate any copyright laws.

Answer

You may contact the legal dept of the record labels and they will inform you; if you search the web you will see which major company likely owns the song now--
