Giving evidence at Teesside Coroner's Court yesterday, Chief Superintendent Paul Davison said he believed if the two duty custody sergeants had known of previous self-harm attempts she would not have been put in a cell.
A MUM too scared to testify against her husband in a domestic abuse trial was put in a cell for three hours for contempt while he walked free.
She was handcuffed, taken to a police car and to a police station where her DNA and fingerprints were taken, then put in a cell for five hours.
