Our findings generally support the hypothesis that share repurchases reduce the agency costs of excessive free cash flow.
ABSTRACT This paper aims to examine one of the most important issues in the international corporate laws, which is the issue of share repurchases known as treasury shares.
Repurchases will be made from time to time and will be effectuated through open market purchases, unsolicited negotiated transactions, or in such other manner deemed appropriate by management.
