Introduction The goal of our study was to determine the practicality of using the portable XRF analyzer in the field for analysis of sieved soil for lead.
In order to reach the desired efficiency level, Premier Foods specified that the new system should be capable of sieving at a rate of 50kg/min, elevate the sieved powder into large tote bins, manage a variety of powders with varying product characteristics, ensure the complete unit could be wheeled away into a designated cleaning area so that a second unit could quickly take its place on the line and minimise dust levels, with certification for an ATEX Zone 22 environment.
