We report the successful use of DA in the treatment of multiorgan failure syndrome related to a nonmenstrual toxic shock syndrome (TSS) associated with a surgical mesh infection.
The CardioSeal, as well as the StarFlex, has two opposing, collapsible umbrella-type devices, each about the size of a nickel, with surgical mesh fabric stretched across a metal framework.
The EasyTAC device uses resorbable fixation elements for the approximation of soft tissue and fixation of surgical mesh to tissues during open or laparoscopic procedures, such as hernia repair.
