Beyond the great unfairness of having MS at all are all the large and small unfairnesses of modern life as a woman. Especially unfair, or course, if they do not believe in a future life where all these seeming unfairnesses are straightened out and compensated. As for unfairnesses in sentencing--for instance, the fact that the robber with his finger in his jacket gets the same sentence as the guy with a semiautomatic--these could have been rectified by giving appellate courts jurisdiction to review sentences, as is the law in Canada. |
