While there's a definite civic benefit to this, there's also a downside: It could foster unrealistic expectations for government. Though the story is more than a bit unrealistic, the beauty of Daly's watercolor depictions of Jamela's South African neighborhood, and the way he conveys feelings and relationships between people, make up for it. |
