Midland Waste Management pleaded guilty at Stratford Magistrates' Court to nine charges relating to it keeping, treating and depositing
controlled waste on land without a waste management licence.
Pleaded guilty to depositing
controlled waste on the Longhirst S bend, Longhirst Road, off the A197, and, transporting
controlled waste without being a registered carrier.
She denies a charge of knowingly causing the deposit of
controlled waste, namely an apple core, on land which did not have a waste management licence.
He admitted two counts of depositing
controlled waste and one of conspiracy to deposit it.
The company, which has since adopted a waste disposal agreement, pleaded guilty to disposing
controlled waste in a manner likely to cause pollution and was fined pounds 500 with pounds 252.25 costs.
David Edwin Allingham, 61, and his 58-year-old wife Freda were convicted last month of keeping
controlled waste and having it without a licence at their farm at Slattinagh, near Garrison, Co Fermanagh.
He admitted two counts of knowingly causing
controlled waste to be deposited and one of keeping
controlled waste on land where no waste management was in force.
He was fined pounds 2,500 for knowingly causing
controlled waste to be deposited without a waste management licence between January 24 and February 6 last year,and pounds 2,500 for keeping
controlled waste without a licence between February 6 and March 22 last year.
Michael John Hart, 54, of Cheshire Recycling, based at King's Court, Kingsmouth, Oxton, Birkenhead, admitted two charges of disposing and keeping
controlled waste without a waste management licence at Storage Yard Number One on Deeside Industrial Estate.
