Council for the Regulation of Health Care Professionalsa corporate body which oversees the performance of other regulatory bodies. It has jurisdiction over, among others, the GENERAL MEDICAL COUNCIL, the GENERAL DENTAL COUNCIL, the General Optical Council, the General Osteopathic Council, the General Chiropractic Council, the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain, and the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland. It may, in the public interest, cause unduly lenient decisions to be put before the courts.
