As the present writer has shown elsewhere (Nordling 1976), it is very likely that the landing place was the mouth of the Porvoo river and that a group of Estonians (called Tavesta) were living in this region already in the 13th century (the word tavast that lacks even a partial ethymology may be a corruption of an original tavest).
