small print matter in a contract printed in small type. This could be for reasons of economy in contracts which are in any event ‘take it or leave it’, or in some cases to hide unfavourable terms from those who do not read the contract. There are now some controls over some contracts. See UNFAIR CONTRACT TERMS.
