Related to Interval: Interval scale, Interval training

INTERVAL. A space of time between two periods. When a person is unable to perform an act at any two given periods, but in the interval he has performed such act, as when a man is found to be insane in the months of January and March, and he enters into a contract or makes a will in the interval, in February, he will be presumed to have been insane at that time; and the onus will lie to show his sanity, on the person who affirms such act. See Lucid interval.

There are the other ways to narrow or to widen the range of the interval comparison such as increasing and decreasing the upper and lower bounds, respectively, by p > 0, [[[].sub.ij] + p, [[bar.a].sub.ij] - p], like in [4, 5, 19] and by 0 < p < 1, [(1 + p)[[].sub.ij], (1 - p)[[bar.a].sub.ij]].
Using interval numbers in algebra was initially developed in the mid-1960s.
Researches on quadratic programming with interval coefficients have been discussed by Liu and Wang [2], Li and Tiang [3], and Syaripuddin et al.
In a letter to the Senate and House Appropriations Subcommittees on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies, AACC and 19 other major healthcare organizations urged Congress to provide funding so that the CDC can fill a crucial gap in children's medical testing by developing accurate pediatric reference intervals.
The researchers wanted to find out if interval training might be as good as a continuous workout for weight loss and lowering body fat despite taking less time to do.
class="MsoNormalBut despite this concision, studies show that interval workouts can improve aerobic fitness, blood sugar control, blood pressure and other measures of health and fitness to the same or a greater extent than standard endurance training, such as brisk walking or jogging, even if it lasts two or three times as long.
A single (real) number can be viewed as that an interval having a definition domain and the law of distribution in the form of a certain event probability:
Results: Although there were no differences in the Tp-e interval and Tp-e/QTc ratio between the groups, the maximum QTc, minimum QTc, and QTc dispersion values were significantly higher in advanced-age pregnancies compared to the control group.
The exclusion criteria were as follows: a prolonged QT interval sufficient to induce fatal arrhythmia, electrolyte imbalances, hypothyroidism, the patient was taking medication that affects QT intervals, and a preoperative QTc >450 ms.
ECG was recorded in supine position after a rest period of 10 min, AUTO mode in the instrument was selected, and the following parameters were noted in migraineurs and controls: Resting heart rate (beats/min), PR interval (ms), P wave (ms), QRS (ms), T wave (ms), QT interval (ms), QTc interval (ms), P axis (degrees), QRS axis (degrees), T axis (degrees), and P wave dispersion (in ms).
The accurate assessment of the QT interval is important to identify individuals at risk for potentially fatal arrhythmias in many conditions ranging from drug-induced cardiac toxicity [1-3] to genetic mutations of cardiac ion channels [4].
A few places will experience rains, which will give way to sunny intervals.
