Colombo, April 4 -- Staff members of the Office of the Western Province Governor Azath Salley took their
oaths of allegiance to President Maithripala Sirisena's Bak Maha Divuruma (National Pledge to eradicate drug menace) in Rajagiriya on Wednesday.
The ceremony was held just six days after the national legislature added
oaths of allegiance into the newly-amended constitution last Sunday.
He took two
oaths of allegiance while holding a Bible and standing next to his wife on the podium at a large ceremony at a sports complex in Nairobi, according to a report of DPA.
They are the last of 54 from the Huddersfield area to swear their
Oaths of Allegiance this year.
