Hansardthe official report of Parliamentary debates, known by the name of the original publisher, now published by HMSO. While it reflects verbatim what is said in Parliament, until very recently it could not be referred to for the purposes of statutory interpretation.
Since an important decision of the House of Lords reported in 1992, it is now permissible to refer to Hansard in cases of ambiguity.
