To do a fair comparison, we will examine an option from each technology in the same package footprint, which is small enough for portable applications 1 mm x 0.6 mm (also know as 0402), 5 V working voltage parts, and parts suitable for USB 2.0 high speed applications being less than 1 pF capacitance.
At just 2 kg total weight, the pump is ideal for portable applications. The HiPace 300 H model is a turbopump with high compression specifically for light gases.
It has an ability to be easily integrated into a variety of systems, make these products ideal for portable applications such as broadcast, airborne, and comms on the move.
The availability of a complete reference design from ON Semiconductor as well as certified conformance from UL aids the rapid development of small form factor chargers for portable applications with industry leading efficiency.
Some of the advantages and benefits are: minimal abrasion or gouging of the jaw plates, often less than 25 percent of other jaws; relatively low fines production; virtually all of the power is used for crushing; do not require massive and costly foundations; desirable for portable applications; strictly compression crushing which provides longer jaw service life; and minimal dusting.
In demand for portable applications because of their light weight and compact size, traditional microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) technologies suffer from a major problem: sticking.
"Embedded Components: Why Now?" details the history of these components, from Dai Nippon Printing, which started shipping PCBs with embedded passive devices in 2006, to TI's MicroSiP, which is in volume production in portable applications, and Infineon's DrBlade low-voltage DC-DC voltage regulator for computing, telecommunication, servers (Blade and Rack), PCs, and gaming machines.
High-accuracy measurements using bridge-based assemblies, such as load cells, torque sensors or pressure sensors, are often difficult to configure, especially in portable applications. This is the problem Data Translation is aiming to solve with the DT9838.
With its reduced size, weight and helium consumption, it is particularly well suited for portable applications or any situation in which the high cost of helium becomes a consideration.
For portable applications where advanced functionality remains paramount, Artix-7 devices deliver best-in-class system performance, power efficiency, compactness and low cost.
According to SMSC, its KleerNet technology provides a choice of KleerNet-enabled audio products from various consumer brands for use in the home, office or portable applications. Wireless audio products that incorporate KleerNet technology include 5.1/7.1 surround sound home theatre systems, sound bars, sub-woofers and headphones, as well as gaming and VOIP headsets.
