[[summation].sub.j][S.sub.TFAP2B,j] = 965 - 687 = 278, which converts TFAP2B in a strong overall activator.
Prichard and colleagues [15] assessed 15 simple sequence repeat polymorphisms in 10 candidate genes in 2097 young Caucasian adults who were arrested; they found significant associations of antisocial behavior in men with androgen receptor (AR) and estrogen receptor 1 (ESR1) polymorphisms, and significant associations of antisocial behavior in women with the nuclear receptor subfamily 4 group A member 2 (NR4A2) and transcription factor AP-2 beta (TFAP2B).
The loci near TFAP2B were indicated as the most obvious candidate gene; its over-expression down-regulates expression of the insulin-sensitizing hormone adiponectin by direct transcriptional repression.
