World Intellectual Property Organization

a body established by the Member States to promote the aims of various treaties relating to INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY and in particular to harmonize national intellectual property legislation and procedures, to provide services for international applications for industrial property rights, to exchange intellectual property information, to provide legal and technical assistance to developing and other countries, to facilitate the resolution of private intellectual property disputes, and to marshal information technology as a tool for storing, accessing, and using valuable intellectual property information.
