Debt Arrangement Scheme
Debt Arrangement Scheme (DAS)
introduced by the Scottish Executive, the scheme gives debtors with more than one pressing debt advice on managing debts, protection from court enforcement, bankruptcy and loss of their home on condition they meet mortgage or rent payments, extra time to pay and an aftercare service. A single regular payment is made to an approved payments distributor. It utilizes a DEBT PAYMENT PROGRAMME.
