carrier

n. in general, any person or business which transports property or people by any means of conveyance (truck, auto, taxi, bus, airplane, railroad, ship), almost always for a charge. The carrier is the transportation system and not the owner or operator of the system. There are two types of carriers: common carrier (in the regular business or a public utility of transportation) and a private carrier (a party not in the business, but agrees to make a delivery or carry a passenger in a specific instance). Regular transportation systems are regulated by states and by the Interstate Commerce Commission if they cross state lines. (See: common carrier, private carrier)

In order to demodulate the bit [b.sub.i.sup.k], at first, during the k-th symbol period, the received signal in two symbol time is assumed to be [y.sub.1.sup.Rk] and [y.sup.Rk.sub.2], respectively.
The use of FSD algorithm to demodulate the phase is a simple technique of soft computing, because just two variables for this work, [[omega].sub.x] and [[omega].sub.y], need to be calculated compared to other polynomial approaches that calculate more variables or coefficients.
Once a sweep team knows the transmitter's frequency, it can tune its receiver to that frequency and more easily demodulate the bug.
To demodulate the signal, the mplemented code separates/classifies the constellation map into decision regions and verified if the received symbol was inside or not a specific region to demodulate/demapping the symbol.
For monocomponent AM-FM signals many successful demodulation approaches have existed, ranging from standard methods such as Hilbert transform demodulation [1] or phase-locked loops (PLL's) to the recent energy separation algorithm (ESA) that tracks and demodulates the energy of the source producing the AM-FM signal using instantaneous nonlinear differential operators [2]-[18].
Therefore, a differential correlated demodulation is employed to demodulate the data information from the scrambled constellation, unlike paper [5] which demodulates the receive signal as a traditional direct sequence spread-spectrum signal; iii) The Doppler frequency shift information of the switched antenna array is modulated into the transmit signal constellation different from papers [6,7], which modulate the spatial parameter of the radiation pattern into the transmit signal constellation.
Use a test tool, preferably with signal strength (measured in dBm), as well as packet error rate (PER) and scanning of multiple channels, or 802.11b card which is more sensitive and yields more information about coverage of APs, channelization and co-channel interference--to demodulate any existing 802.11b interference on the air.
The system is described as being suitable for installation in wheeled vehicles, shelters and fixed sites, as using digital-signal-processing techniques and as being able to demodulate amplitude- and frequency-modulated, frequency-shift-keyed, continuous-wave and upper- and lower-sideband signals.
Theresults are very promising showing that the beam throughput can be at least doubled when compared to a conventional 4 colours multi-beam system with frequency flexibility. The present activity aims in a first stage to design and develop low-complexity yet robust CDMmulti-user-detection receiver emulator (software or hybrid hardware/software-based)capable of simultaneously acquire and demodulate carriers from multiple co-channel beams when full frequency reuse is exploited.
The same VSA software used in simulation also is used with test equipment to demodulate custom OFDM signals to evaluate hardware performance.
"Now, customers can use a single XMC module to receive, demodulate, decode and decrypt virtually any type of digital L-band communications, working directly from an antenna low- noise block connection."
To address this phenomenon, set the demodulator to demodulate longer blocks of symbols (up to 4,096) and allow averaging to have its smoothing effect.
