LIP SERVICE: The Country Land and Business Association feels the Government may be ignoring the facts about
hunting with hounds and is in danger of allowing 'ignorance and prejudice' to criminalise the pastime
November 1997 - Labour MP Mike Foster puts forward a Private Member's Bill on banning
hunting with hounds. It was killed off due to procedural moves.
Sure,many think we should concentrate on other things,but that does not in any way legitimise
hunting with hounds. The same points were raised before we finally banned dog,cock fighting and bear baiting.
IN open defiance of the new law which bans
hunting with hounds, 250 fox hunts took place across the country last weekend.
