Question

Country: United States of America
State: Michigan

I received a letter in the mail from progressive insurance claiming that I kicked a vehicle and they are trying to collect $701.67. First of all they show no proof that I was legally responsible. Second Michigan is a no fault insurance state. How responsible am I and how correct are they for harassing me this way?

Answer

If they could prove you committed a criminal act, they can collect--otherwise you need not pay--
