He said that the Bureau was striving hard to take the mega corruption cases to logical conclusion and all possible resources were being utilized for the elimination of white collar corruption cases on priority basis as the basic aim of NAB was the elimination of corruption from the society and recovery of looted money from the
plunderers.
The chairman said NAB was a national institution and its officers were performing their duties with utmost sincerity and dedication, adding that the bureau was striving hard to take the mega corruption cases to their logical conclusion and all possible resources were being utilised for the elimination of white-collar corruption cases on a priority basis as the basic aim of NAB was the elimination of corruption from the society and recovery of looted money from the
plunderers.
Napoles added that while there can be several
plunderers, there is only one main
plunderer for whose benefit the amassing, accumulation and acquisition of ill-gotten wealth is made.
Napoles' counsels, led by lawyer Rony Garay, said the absence of a central public official as main
plunderer merits the dismissal of a case.
She said the looters and
plunderers belonging to former ruling parties PPP and PML-N would not be escaped from punishment and they would have to pay the price of their wrongdoings.
National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser was being pressurised by the opposition for issuance of production orders of the arrested
plunderers so that the investigations could not be completed, he said.
The minister said that recovery from the
plunderers would be started soon which would be big achievement of the government.
Plunderers, kleptomaniacs, liars, drug traders and traitors manage to get elected.
However, the anti-graft court found Napoles' arguments "baseless." The charge sheet indicated that both Revilla and Cambe, as public officers, are being charged as main
plunderers together with her.
Prime Minister Khan: I am puzzled and perplexed by those who, despite having read the two (JIT) reports, are still defending the
plunderers.
Expressing his perplexity at those "defending the
plunderers", the prime minister said the scale and methods used to "siphon off public money" were "incredulous and mind-boggling".
