worker

the beneficiary of much modern legislation, sometimes in capacity as an employee under a contract of employment but also under separate regimes such as the wages legislation. In the law of the EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES, the worker is the subject of many legal provisions. See FREE MOVEMENT OF PERSONS.
